The Idea

200,000 GOOD friends walk2connect with their community (cities, towns, neighborhoods) on a 12 mile walk. They will loop back to their starting point with one requirement being to stop (for lunch or for fun) in at least one local cafe or shop along the way.

The Specifics

- 200,000 GOOD friends will plan to walk on the same day
- Participants will be encouraged to post, upload and stream photos, text and video throughout their trip using hashtag #GOOD2WALK
- Participants will have access to downloadable ‘rules of the road’ (stretching, safety and tips) for full-day walking
- Funds will be used to pay for time in helping to craft safe and fun routes for targeted/chosen areas. (selected through a Facebook Event page or other means)
- Routes will be diverse (depending on location) by road, greenway, trail
- Funds will be used to provide materials for handout (eg directing pedestrian and local traffic to Walk2Connect website and/or to GOOD website)
